Pay: $2,208.60/week (plus $2,500 completion bonus per contract, up to $7,500 after three contracts)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Med-Surg/Telemetry (MS/Tele) Registered Nurse (RN) to join a healthcare facility in Rochester, NY on a 13-week travel assignment. The RN will provide exceptional care to patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring and general medical-surgical support. The ideal candidate is experienced in MS/Tele nursing, adaptable to fast-paced environments, and committed to delivering patient-centered, evidence-based care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients on the MS/Tele unit.
  • Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, responding promptly to changes in patient condition.
  • Administer medications, IV fluids, and prescribed treatments accurately and safely.
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
  • Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and progress in the medical record.
  • Adhere to infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and evidence-based nursing practices.

Qualifications

  • Current and valid RN license in New York (or compact eligibility).
  • Minimum 1–2 years of recent MS/Tele nursing experience in an acute care setting.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
  • Strong clinical assessment, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Compassionate and adaptable approach to patient care.
  • COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.
