Physical Therapist Inpatient Rehab – Travel Position

Location: Brush, CO
Job Type: Travel Contract
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 5x7s Nights
Pay: $2,475/week

 

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to join an inpatient rehabilitation unit in Brush, CO, on a travel contract. The Physical Therapist will evaluate and treat patients recovering from illness, injury, or surgery, focusing on restoring functional mobility, improving strength, and promoting independence. The ideal candidate is compassionate, adaptable, and experienced in inpatient rehab or acute care therapy settings.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive evaluations to assess patients’ mobility, functional limitations, and therapy needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized rehabilitation treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Deliver therapeutic interventions including therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, and functional mobility training.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on therapy objectives, safety techniques, and home exercise programs.
  • Document evaluations, progress notes, and treatment outcomes accurately in compliance with facility and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Promote safety, independence, and quality of life through evidence-based rehabilitation practices.

 

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current and valid Physical Therapist license in Colorado (or compact license).
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent PT experience in inpatient rehab or acute care settings.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support.
  • COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.
  • Strong assessment, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach to rehabilitation care.
