Neuro ICU Registered Nurse (RN) - Travel Position 

Location: Lexington, KY 

Job Type: Travel Contract   

Duration: 13 weeks  

Shift: 3x12s Nights 

Pay: $2357/week  

 

Job Description:  

We are seeking a highly skilled Neuro ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to provide specialized critical care to patients with neurological and neurosurgical conditions. The RN will assess, monitor, and treat patients with complex brain and spinal injuries, strokes, and post-neurosurgical needs while collaborating with the multidisciplinary care team. The ideal candidate has strong critical care experience, sharp assessment skills, and a commitment to delivering patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment. 

 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Provide direct patient care in the Neuro ICU, including assessments, monitoring, and interventions. 

  • Administer medications, IV therapies, and advanced treatments according to physician orders. 

  • Monitor neurological status, vital signs, and patient responses to care. 

  • Operate and manage critical care equipment, such as ventilators, ICP monitors, and infusion pumps. 

  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals on individualized care plans. 

  • Educate patients and families on neurological conditions, treatments, and recovery processes. 

  • Document care provided in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards. 

 

Qualifications:  

  • Active RN license in KY 

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing 

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications 

  • Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification 

  • COVID vaccine, TB test 

  • Minimum 2 years of Neuro ICU experience
