Pediatric Med Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) - Travel Position  
Location: Devils Lake, ND
Job Type: Travel Contract   
Duration: 13 weeks  
Shift: 3x12s Nights 
Pay: $2196/week  

Job Description:  

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for a Pediatric Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit. This role requires a nurse who can manage the care of pediatric patients with various medical and surgical needs while also providing continuous cardiac monitoring. The ideal candidate has strong clinical skills, is attentive to detail, and can provide high-quality care to a young patient population. The ability to manage a wide range of patient conditions and work collaboratively with a healthcare team is essential.

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients on a 25-bed Med Surg/Telemetry unit.
  • Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and vital signs, responding to changes in patient status.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and other nursing interventions.
  • Educate patients and their families on their medical conditions and care plans.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated care.
  • Float to other units as needed, demonstrating adaptability and a willingness to support the facility.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.

Qualifications:  

  • Active RN license in North Dakota.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent Med Surg/Telemetry experience.
  • COVID vaccine and recent TB test may be required.
