Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR) Travel Position

Location: Columbus, OH
Job Type: Travel Contract
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 3x12 Days
Pay: $2,689.20/week (plus $2,500 completion bonus per contract, up to $7,500 after three contracts)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) for a Day/Evening Rotating travel position in Columbus, OH. This role involves providing expert perioperative nursing care across a variety of surgical specialties in one of the nation’s top-ranked cancer hospitals.

The ideal candidate will have strong circulating and scrubbing skills, proficiency in Epic, and experience in multiple surgical service lines, including neuro, thoracic, ENT, ortho, general, plastics, urology, GU/GYN, free flaps, and robotics (Da Vinci). Oncology OR experience is highly preferred.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality perioperative nursing care to patients across multiple surgical specialties.

  • Circulate and scrub for various procedures including general, orthopedic, thoracic, ENT, and robotic surgeries.

  • Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia staff, and multidisciplinary team members to ensure safe and efficient operations.

  • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation using Epic.

  • Participate in call rotation as scheduled, including evenings, nights, and weekends as needed.

  • Adhere to all hospital safety and infection control standards.

 

Qualifications

  • License: Active RN license in Ohio or Compact state license in hand at time of submission.

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years recent OR nursing experience required.

  • Certifications:

    • Basic Life Support (BLS) – required

    • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – preferred

    • CNOR – preferred

  • Skills Required:

    • Circulating and scrubbing experience

    • Epic charting system proficiency

    • Experience in neuro, thoracic, ENT, ortho, general, plastics, urology, GU/GYN, free flap, and robotic (Da Vinci) procedures

  • Preferred Experience: Oncology OR
