Job Type: Travel Contract
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 3x12 Nights
Pay: $2,130.12/week (plus $2,500 completion bonus per contract, up to $7,500 after three contracts)
We are seeking an experienced Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) Registered Nurse (RN) to join a healthcare facility in Columbus, Ohio. The ideal candidate will provide high-acuity care to critically ill adult patients in a fast-paced academic medical center environment. This position requires strong critical thinking skills, the ability to manage multiple complex patients, and proficiency in EPIC documentation.
Deliver expert nursing care to patients with multisystem organ failure, respiratory failure, sepsis, and post-cardiac arrest conditions.
Monitor and manage ventilated and hemodynamically unstable patients.
Titrate vasoactive and cardiac drips according to established protocols.
Interpret cardiac rhythms and arterial blood gases.
Initiate and maintain IV access and administer IV therapies.
Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary care teams.
Document care accurately and efficiently using Epic EMR.
Float as needed within the OSU hospital system.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years recent MICU experience in an acute care setting
BLS
ACLS
NIHSS
Required Skills:
Ventilator and CRRT management
IV starts and sedation monitoring
Telemetry and cardiac rhythm interpretation
Experience with multisystem organ failure, sepsis, DKA, liver and renal failure
EMR: Epic (recent proficiency required)
Education: Must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
