Shift: 3x12 Nights
Pay: $2,277/week (plus $2,500 completion bonus per contract, up to $7,500 after three contracts)
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Labor & Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse to join a healthcare facility for a 13-week travel assignment. This Level III maternal-designated facility supports high-risk obstetrical patients and boasts a collaborative, team-oriented environment with self-scheduling options and engaged leadership. Ideal candidates will bring at least 3 years of high-risk OB experience and strong expertise in managing complex deliveries in a fast-paced setting.
Deliver expert nursing care during all stages of labor, delivery, and postpartum.
Monitor maternal and fetal status using advanced electronic fetal monitoring (EFM).
Support OB/GYNs and anesthesiologists during scheduled and emergency C-sections, including C-hysterectomies.
Manage high-risk situations such as PASD (placenta accreta spectrum disorders) and massive transfusion protocols.
Administer medications and manage IVs, epidurals, and other interventions using Alaris and CADD pumps.
Ensure timely and accurate documentation using CPN and Meditech EMR systems.
Educate patients and families about procedures, recovery, and newborn care.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including OBs, CSTs, and unit schedulers.
Active RN license in Texas or compact state
Minimum 3 years of recent high-risk Labor & Delivery experience
Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced EFM
Experience with PASD and massive transfusions preferred
Strong communication, critical thinking, and team collaboration skills
COVID-19 vaccination and recent TB test required
