Radiology Registered Nurse (RN) - Travel Position  
Location: Plano, TX 
Job Type: Travel Contract   
Duration: 13 weeks  
Shift: 4x10 Days
Pay: $2562/week  
Completion Bonus: Up to $7,500 total. (You will receive $2,500 after the successful completion of each of your first 3 contracts with us)

Job Description:  

We are seeking a highly skilled and procedural Radiology Registered Nurse (RN) to join our diagnostic and interventional team. This specialized role involves providing expert nursing care to patients undergoing a variety of imaging procedures, including CT scans, MRIs, biopsies, vascular access procedures, and more. The Radiology RN is responsible for patient monitoring, administration of contrast media and conscious sedation, and managing potential complications. The ideal candidate is adaptable, highly attentive to detail, and excels at patient education and pre/post-procedure care in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:  

• Provide direct nursing care, monitoring, and support for patients before, during, and after diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures.
• Administer intravenous contrast media, conscious sedation, and other medications as directed, closely monitoring for adverse reactions.
• Assess, monitor, and manage patient vital signs, particularly during high-risk procedures and while under sedation.
• Assist the radiologist and technical staff during invasive procedures, ensuring sterile technique and patient comfort.
• Obtain and manage vascular access, including starting IVs and performing central line care.
• Educate patients and families on procedural steps, preparations, and post-procedure care.
• Collaborate effectively with the radiology team, referring physicians, and other hospital departments.

Qualifications:  

• Active RN license in Texas.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of recent critical care (ICU/ER) or procedural nursing experience.
• Strong knowledge of conscious sedation principles and contrast media reactions.
• COVID vaccine and recent TB test may be required.
