Pay: $2,520/week (plus $2,500 completion bonus per contract, up to $7,500 after three contracts)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Cardiac Catheterization Lab (Cath Lab) Registered Nurse (RN) to join a healthcare facility in Hendersonville, TN on a 13-week travel assignment. The RN will provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures. The ideal candidate has strong critical care or Cath Lab experience, excellent technical skills, and a commitment to delivering safe, high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for cardiac catheterization procedures, ensuring readiness and safety throughout the process.
  • Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures, including angiograms, angioplasty, and stent placements.
  • Monitor patients’ vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and responses to sedation or interventions.
  • Administer prescribed medications, fluids, and IV therapies accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with physicians, cardiovascular technologists, and interdisciplinary team members to provide coordinated care.
  • Educate patients and families about procedures, recovery expectations, and post-procedure care instructions.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.
  • Adhere to infection control standards, safety protocols, and evidence-based practices in Cath Lab nursing.

Qualifications

  • Current and valid RN license in Tennessee (or compact eligibility).
  • Minimum 1–2 years of recent Cath Lab or critical care nursing experience in an acute care setting.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
  • Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills in high-pressure environments.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Compassionate and adaptable approach to patient care.
  • COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.
