Med-Surg Registered Nurse (RN) - Travel Position
Location: Lander, WY
Job Type: Travel Contract
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 3x12s Nights
Pay: $2175/week
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical-Surgical RN to provide direct, individualized patient care across a wide variety of medical and surgical cases, including pre- and post-operative patients. While primarily adult-focused, this role may also involve occasional care of pediatric or adolescent patients (no dedicated pediatric unit). The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical skills, adaptability, and a patient-centered approach to care.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide safe and effective nursing care to diverse medical-surgical patients, including pre- and post-operative cases.
Conduct thorough patient assessments, administer medications, and perform treatments as ordered.
Educate patients and families on treatment plans, procedures, and discharge care.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure high-quality care.
Monitor, document, and evaluate patient progress and outcomes.
Support occasional pediatric/adolescent patients as assigned.
Promote patient safety, autonomy, and advocacy in all aspects of care.
Qualifications:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
Current Wyoming (WY) RN license or multistate RN license
Experience: Minimum 2+ years of recent hospital Med/Surg experience
Certifications Required (AHA only):
ACLS
BLS
PALS
Preferred Skills: Strong time management, patient education, teamwork, and collaboration abilities
