Med-Surg Registered Nurse (RN) - Travel Position 

Location: Lander, WY 

Job Type: Travel Contract   

Duration: 13 weeks  

Shift: 3x12s Nights 

Pay: $2175/week  

 

Job Description:  

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical-Surgical RN to provide direct, individualized patient care across a wide variety of medical and surgical cases, including pre- and post-operative patients. While primarily adult-focused, this role may also involve occasional care of pediatric or adolescent patients (no dedicated pediatric unit). The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical skills, adaptability, and a patient-centered approach to care. 

 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Provide safe and effective nursing care to diverse medical-surgical patients, including pre- and post-operative cases. 

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, administer medications, and perform treatments as ordered. 

  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans, procedures, and discharge care. 

  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure high-quality care. 

  • Monitor, document, and evaluate patient progress and outcomes. 

  • Support occasional pediatric/adolescent patients as assigned. 

  • Promote patient safety, autonomy, and advocacy in all aspects of care. 

 

Qualifications:  

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing 

  • Current Wyoming (WY) RN license or multistate RN license 

  • Experience: Minimum 2+ years of recent hospital Med/Surg experience 

  • Certifications Required (AHA only): 

  • ACLS 

  • BLS 

  • PALS 

  • Preferred Skills: Strong time management, patient education, teamwork, and collaboration abilities
