Physical Therapist – Rehabilitation & Wound Care - Travel Position

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join a rehabilitation and wound care facility in Mound City, MO, on a travel contract. The Physical Therapist will evaluate patients, design personalized treatment plans, and deliver therapy services aimed at restoring mobility, promoting independence, and supporting wound healing. The ideal candidate is patient-centered, adaptable, and experienced in both rehabilitation and wound care practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform evaluations to assess patients’ physical function, mobility, and wound care needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary staff.
• Provide therapeutic interventions including strengthening, mobility training, balance activities, and wound care support.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy objectives, wound management, and safe functional techniques.
• Document evaluations, treatment sessions, wound care interventions, and progress accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with nursing and wound care teams to ensure comprehensive, patient-centered care.
• Promote recovery, safety, and quality of life through evidence-based therapy practices.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master’s in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current and valid Physical Therapist license in Missouri (or compact license).
• Minimum of 1 year of recent PT experience in rehabilitation; wound care experience preferred.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support.
• COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.
• Strong communication, assessment, and clinical documentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary care environment.
