Cardiopulmonary Respiratory Therapist - Travel Position  

Location: Hermiston, OR 

Job Type: Travel Contract   

Duration: 13 weeks  

Shift: 3x12s 

Pay: $1973/week  

 

Job Description:  

We are seeking a knowledgeable and compassionate Cardiopulmonary Respiratory Therapist to provide specialized care to patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary conditions. The therapist will perform diagnostic testing, deliver therapeutic treatments, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, patient-focused, and skilled in both acute and chronic cardiopulmonary care. 

 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Assess and treat patients with cardiopulmonary disorders, including those requiring oxygen therapy, mechanical ventilation, or airway management. 

  • Perform diagnostic procedures such as arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis and pulmonary function testing. 

  • Administer respiratory treatments, medications, and chest physiotherapy. 

  • Monitor patient responses and adjust treatment plans as needed. 

  • Educate patients and families on cardiopulmonary health, disease management, and home care. 

  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with hospital safety protocols. 

 

Qualifications:  

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy 

  • Active Respiratory Therapist license in OR 

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC 

  • BLS certification, COVID vaccine, TB test 

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications (Preferred) 

  • Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience
